We offer three lovely, cosy and well-insulated huts on the site, two are styled as traditional shepherds huts and the third is a colourful gypsy-style caravan. The half doors draw you into the light, decorated interior with gaily curtained windows letting in the sun. Each hut can comfortably sleep two people in a double bed and also includes a table, comfortable wicker chairs and a small cupboard for storage. For those cooler evenings and winter visits each hut has a woodburner to keep you snug.
The huts can be rented out individually (sleeping two) or as a group sleeping up to six. They are available for short stays (minimum two nights) or they can be booked on a weekly basis based on staying Saturday – Saturday. Please see the booking page for details.
Bedding, towels and tea towels are all supplied for your stay. We also provide wood for the stoves for your arrival, and additional logs can be purchased from the farm next door.
Outside each of the huts, there is more seating and a table plus a wood burning firepit / barbeque to sit around and dine al fresco, enjoying those long summer evenings, or just lie back, relax and watch the stars come out in one of Britain’s superb Dark Skies Reserves.
All other facilities are in the adjacent shared wooden lodges.

A traditionally styled shepherds hut, “Brown Hare” has a wooden exterior and a cosy but light, welcoming interior.
